WATER CONSERVATION TIPS

  • Check for leaks in faucets, toilets, hoses and pipes
  • Install low-flow fittings and devices
  • Take short showers instead of baths
  • Avoid needless flushing of toilets
  • Wait for full loads when possible before operating dishwashers and washing machines
  • Clean walkways with brooms instead of hoses
  • Keep grass at two to three inches to retain moisture
  • Wash cars on grass or soil instead of paved areas or take cars to car washes that recycle water
  • Water lawns in the morning or evening to prevent rapid evaporation
  • Respect water-use restrictions
