Please Report Your Damages!
Following a disaster, local emergency officials survey damages by completing damage assessments of the community.
These damage assessments can take time to compile and are used by emergency officials to obtain funding to help impacted communities recover.
When impacted communities report in, it gives emergency officials a more accurate picture of the extent of damage.
Self-reporting helps expedite the damage assessment process as well as provides data that could result in more funding opportunities to aid survivors in recovery.
How to Report Your Damages
If your primary residence (homeowners and renters) was impacted by a disaster event:

- Report Your Damages by contacting Delaware 211 or your County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).
- Read the Damage Reporting Guide for additional instructions.
The data collected could assist emergency officials obtain funds for disaster survivors as well as connect survivors to recovery resources.
Need help reporting your damages?
In partnership with DEMA, the United Way of Delaware 211 will also function as a call center to help you report your damages.
Additionally, if you need food, shelter, clothing, or other assistance, the United Way of Delaware 211 is a free, confidential referral and information helpline connecting people to essential health and human services with or without a disaster event.
