Public Assistance Grant Program
This page is intended to assist state and local governments and certain private non-profit organizations. If you are an individual, homeowner, or renter in Delaware, please see our Individual Assistance section.
The Public Assistance (PA) Grant Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) offers financial support and direct aid to local and state governments and specific eligible private non-profit (PNP) organizations following a disaster. The PA program assists communities in responding to and recovering from significant disasters and emergencies, including hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and wildfires.
The Delaware Emergency Management Agency manages the program in the State of Delaware. Upon the President granting a Presidential Disaster Declaration, state and local governmental entities and some private non-profit organizations receive financial assistance from FEMA through DEMA on a reimbursement basis.
